About Kristen Jamsa, FNP, CNM
Kristen Jamsa joined the WFMC team in 2016 with over 20 years of experience caring for families, mothers, and babies in professional roles as a labor and delivery nurse, family nurse practitioner, and nurse midwife. In the eight years preceding her employment with WFMC, she worked as a midwife for Silverton Health and delivered babies at Silverton Hospital. Kristen completed her undergraduate education at Georgetown University in Washington D.C and her graduate studies in nursing at Oregon Health and Sciences University, where she completed both the Family Nurse Practitioner (1995) and Nurse Midwifery (2007) programs. She is especially interested in patient education, facilitating Centering Pregnancy groups, and promoting lactation and other preventive health measures that have long term positive impacts. Kristen speaks Spanish and enjoys working with Latino families. One of the things that she loves most about WFMC is the opportunity to work with an interesting variety of patients and staff of different ethnicities, cultures, and ages.
